Following the introduction of the Curvv.EV, Tata Motors has now unveiled the petrol and diesel versions of the Curvv, with pricing starting at ₹9.99 lakh for the base petrol variant and ₹11.49 lakh for the base diesel variant. These introductory prices will increase from November 2024. The Curvv ICE (internal combustion engine) launch comes just a month after the Curvv.EV, which starts at ₹17.49 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The Curvv ICE will be available in eight variants and six color options and will feature three engine choices along with multiple gearbox options.

Tata Curvv Design

The design of the Tata Curvv ICE closely mirrors that of the Curvv EV, with notable differences including a revised front grille and air vents. The Curvv ICE maintains the coupe SUV styling, placing it alongside the Citroen Basalt as one of the few vehicles in this segment with such a design.

Tata Curvv Interior and Features

The interior of the Tata Curvv is similarly well-equipped as the Curvv EV. It features a 4-spoke steering wheel similar to that of the Tata Harrier, along with a strip of ambient lighting that enhances the premium feel of the cabin. The interior includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, air purifier, and ventilated front seats. Standard safety features include six airbags across all trims, while higher trims offer ADAS features, an electronic parking brake, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Tata Curvv Engine Options

The Tata Curvv ICE is available with three engine options: two turbo petrol units and one diesel engine. The engine lineup includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol producing 118 bhp and 170 Nm, a new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo petrol generating 123 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 113 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. All engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, making the Curvv ICE the first diesel vehicle in its segment to offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Tata Curvv Rivals

The Tata Curvv petrol and diesel variants will compete with models such as the Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, and Volkswagen Taigun.
