Suhail Bukhari informed PTI that he has resigned from the PDP, though he did not provide additional details. It seems Bukhari was reportedly upset about not being selected as a candidate for the upcoming elections.

PDP chief spokesperson Suhail Bukhari resigned from the party on Tuesday, just ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bukhari confirmed his departure to PTI but did not provide further details. His decision appears to be linked to dissatisfaction over not being selected to contest in the elections. He had anticipated running for the Wagoora-Kreeri seat, but his chances were reduced following the return of former minister Basharat Bukhari to the PDP last month.

A former journalist turned politician, Suhail Bukhari was a close associate of PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and had previously served as her advisor during her tenure as chief minister.
