Neena Gupta looks to have begun filming for the upcoming season of Panchayat, the internet series in which she played Panchayat Pradhan's wife Manju Devi. The veteran actress shared an Instagram video from the set in which she described the difficulties of filming in the scorching heat.

Fans Filled with Joy as Actress's Video Sparks Excitement and Generate a Deluge of Comments on Shooting Progress.

The television series, crafted by Chandan Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra, chronicles the journey of a young Delhi resident who takes up the role of a secretary in a Panchayat office located in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh. Alongside Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav, the series features notable performances by Biswapati Sarkar, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik.

The series garnered widespread acclaim from critics, who lauded the outstanding performances of the lead actors, as well as the well-crafted script, impeccable direction, and remarkable technical aspects. The decision by TVF and its producers to explore a rural village setting, diverging from their previous urban-centric works, was also highly praised.

The highly anticipated second season of the show was originally scheduled to premiere on May 20, 2022. However, to the delight of fans, all episodes were unexpectedly released two days prior to the official release date. In this season, Abhishek's character delves deeper into local politics and current events, all while balancing his preparations for the CAT exam.

Neena Gupta portrays the role of Manju Devi, a housewife and the village Pradhan, in the series. Her decision to join the project was influenced by the positive reception of TVF's previous works and her prior collaboration with Raghubir Yadav and Jitendra (following their collaboration in the film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, where she played Jitendra's character's mother). Raghubir Yadav plays the character of Brij Bhushan Dubey, Manju Devi's husband, in the series.
