Some social media videos have sparked speculation about a possible romantic relationship between Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra.

The internet went into overdrive on Monday after spotting India’s top javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra, with pistol shooter Manu Bhaker and her mother following the Paris Olympics 2024. The trio was seen together at an event, sparking wild speculation on social media about a possible marriage between Neeraj and Manu. However, Manu’s father, Ram Kishan, swiftly addressed these rumors, stating that his daughter is not of marriageable age and that such matters are not being considered at this time.

“Manu is still very young and not even thinking about marriage right now,” Ram Kishan told Dainik Bhaskar, putting an end to the speculation.

In the social media videos, Manu’s mother appeared to have a warm rapport with Neeraj. Ram Kishan explained that Manu’s mother regards Neeraj as a son, which contributes to their strong bond.

“Manu’s mother considers Neeraj like her own son,” he said, further dispelling any notions of a romantic relationship between the two athletes.

Neeraj’s uncle also weighed in on the marriage talk, stating, “Just as Neeraj’s achievements at the Paris Games were widely known, his marriage will be announced when the time is right.”

Both Neeraj and Manu were standout performers at the Paris Olympics. Despite feeling they could have achieved more, Manu won two bronze medals in shooting events, while Neeraj secured a silver in javelin, adding to his gold from the Tokyo Olympics.
