A shocking tragedy struck on Wednesday as reports surfaced that Bollywood diva Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has passed away after reportedly taking his own life by jumping from the sixth floor of a building in Mumbai.
At the time of the incident, Malaika Arora was in Pune. Upon receiving the devastating news, she immediately left for Mumbai. The Bandra Police and Crime Branch team arrived at the scene but have yet to recover any suicide note. It is reported that Anil Arora had been unwell for a long period.
Malaika Arora’s Childhood and Reflections
In a 2022 interview, Malaika reflected on her childhood, describing it as both “wonderful” and “tumultuous.” She recounted the difficult times following her parents’ divorce when she was only 11 years old. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, raised Malaika and her younger sister, Amrita, who was six at the time, in Chembur after moving from Thane.
Malaika spoke about how her parents’ separation shaped her. “My parents’ separation allowed me to observe my mother through a new and unique lens,” she said, adding that it instilled in her a strong work ethic and a fierce sense of independence.

Malaika was last seen in the song “Aap Jaisa Koi” in An Action Hero alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat. She also appeared in the music video for “Tera Hi Khayal.” According to some reports, she may have a special cameo appearance in the upcoming multi-starrer Housefull 5.
