Approximately a month after his previous discharge, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani was readmitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital on Tuesday. The 96-year-old is currently stable and under observation, according to informed sources.
Advani is being treated by neurologist Dr. Vinit Suri. Prior to his admission at Apollo Hospital last month, he had also been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Advani, who served as India’s Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 and as Union Home Minister from 1999 to 2004, was honored with the Bharat Ratna, the nation’s highest civilian award, in March. The award ceremony, held at his residence, was attended by President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Advani’s family. PM Modi also visited Advani before forming his third government.
