Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered by Insomniac Games is coming to PC on August 12th, 2022, according to Sony's State of Play showcase in June 2022. This game was released as a launch title on the PlayStation 5. The business hasn't revealed pricing for the PC version, but it will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, just like prior titles. Insomniac Games revealed that Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be arriving at PC in the fall in a follow-up blog post. The game will be released on the PC platform sometime in the Fall of this year, though no specific date has been set. Sony made the announcements at its PlayStation State of Play event.
There's likely to be a lot more news in the future - at least for speculative fiction fans. The game's remastered edition includes every DLC, and it was released on the PS5 with some remarkable graphics enhancements, like ray tracing. It goes without saying that equivalent options should be available on the PC version as well. In the demo, Sony showed off alpha footage, which looked nice as a work in progress.
The game's technological specifications on PC are yet to be announced, but according to Ryan Schneider, Insomniac Games' Head of Franchise Strategy & Studio Relations: "Wait till you get your hands on the sticks...or mouse and keyboard (feature confirmed)!" Of course, conventional PC features like configurable render settings and ray-traced reflections will be included, with more features and information to be disclosed later."
Sony's ambition to make the PC a companion platform to its PlayStation consoles continues with the release of Marvel's Spider-Man on PC. God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon: Zero Dawn are among the recent PlayStation-exclusive games.
