Creators may now create Reels out of live gaming video on Facebook Gaming

For all developers, Facebook Gaming has launched a new "Footage to Reels" function that allows them to turn live gameplay clips into Reels.

The business unveiled "Clips to Reels" last month to assist game video developers in creating 60-second Reels using pre-existing Facebook Gaming content.

The firm stated, "Now, we're thrilled to disclose it is available to all partners and Level Up Creators.

It claimed late on Wednesday that with these editing capabilities, "we're empowering creators with simple-to-use tools to help them transform existing live video clips into Reels."

With dual perspectives for both gameplay and creator cam, creators can now quickly trim clips of their favourite gaming moments down to a vertically friendly, 60-second format.

Creators will be able to format and share highlights from Clips and VODs from within their Creator Studio Clips Library with a simplified procedure thanks to the new Clips to Reels tool.

Visit the Creator Studio portal on your desktop, browse to the File Management section's Clips category, and select the Clip you want to convert.

According to the firm, you can now choose Create Reel from the drop-down menu and edit your video to meet the length requirements of Reels. You can also crop the sections of your movie to include the footage area where your main gameplay takes place along with your face cam.

The rest of the alignment work for the proper arrangement for Reels will be handled by the tool.

After finishing, just go to the Share tab to preview the Reel, give it a caption, add hashtags, and publish it to your page.

If you wish to use the creative tools of Instagram and Facebook, you can save the finished Reel and publish it again after adding stickers, music, or GIFs, according to Facebook.

In its Q1 2022 financial report, Meta stated that Reels now account for more than 20% of all Instagram time.
