Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a well-known battle royale game, has topped 100 million registered users, according to Krafton, the game makers. According to Krafton, BGMI has now become the most popular game in the nation for a whole year.
According to a statement from Changhan Kim, CEO of Krafton Inc., BGMI's first year has been a tremendous success. Millions of gamers from all over India have joined the community to play the game. The firm went on to say that in order to create gameplay that is specifically tailored to our Indian fans, they have organised big tournaments, collaborated on Indian-themed projects, and celebrated India-centric events with the community.
Kim went on to say: "We are committed to building a strong gaming ecosystem and are optimistic about the potential in the nation. Our attention has shifted to continually improving the mobile gaming experience for our expanding community and making investments in this region's thriving start-up scene."
In order to strengthen India's domestic video game, e-sports, and entertainment entrepreneurs and create a thriving gaming start-up ecosystem, the game developer invested close to $100 million in them in the previous year. BMOC, the just-finished BMPS Season 1, BGIS Season 2, and BMPS Season 2 will all feature cash awards totaling Rs 6 crore in 2022, according to Krafton, offering players all around India a platform to display their talents.
"We are incredibly grateful to our players for helping us accomplish this milestone in the first year of BGMI. Every step of the way, BGMI has been responsive to the requirements of the gaming community with innovative and difficult gameplay, joyful updates, and captivating themes from prized IPs "said Minu Lee, KRAFTON, Inc.'s Head of India Publishing.
