Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have joyfully announced the birth of their daughter, born on September 8. The couple shared the delightful news through a touching Instagram post, reading: “Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024. Deepika & Ranveer.”

Following the announcement, congratulations poured in from across the industry. Notable reactions included Alia Bhatt, her sister Shaheen Bhatt, as well as Rubina Dilaik, Amruta Khanvilkar, Athiya Shetty, and Malaika Arora, all of whom took to social media to celebrate the couple’s new arrival.

Deepika and Ranveer first revealed their pregnancy in February with a charming Instagram post featuring baby-themed graphics and the date “September 2024.” Despite her pregnancy, Deepika remained active in her professional life and continued to make public appearances. Just a day before she was admitted to the hospital, she and Ranveer visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings.

Prior to Deepika’s pregnancy, Ranveer had expressed his desire for a daughter. On his TV show, The Big Picture, he shared, “As you know, I’m married now and may have kids in the next two or three years. Your sister-in-law was such a cute baby. I see her baby photos daily and tell her, ‘Give me a baby like that, and my life will be set.’”

Deepika and Ranveer’s romance began in 2012, and they tied the knot on November 14 and 15, 2018, in a picturesque ceremony in Lake Como, Italy. They recently shared their wedding video for the first time during the eighth season of Koffee With Karan, where Ranveer also revealed he proposed to Deepika in the Maldives in 2015.
