Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher

Chelsea has extended a new contract offer to midfielder Conor Gallagher, whose current deal is set to expire next year, according to manager Enzo Maresca before their pre-season friendly against Manchester City in Ohio.

The 24-year-old has yet to finalize the terms, and Maresca did not disclose specifics about the offer. British media reports indicate that several top European clubs are interested in Gallagher.

Maresca shared with reporters, “I can confirm that he is in discussions with the club to reach an agreement, and the club has put forward a new contract. That’s the latest information I have.”

Gallagher is currently on holiday following his participation in the European Championship and is not with the squad on their U.S. tour.

Maresca emphasized, “Our main priority right now is to find a solution that satisfies everyone, including Conor and the club.”

Chelsea is set to face Manchester City in their Premier League opener on August 18.
