Bharti Airtel’s Q1 earnings report, released after market hours on Monday, saw the stock close 1.86% lower at Rs 1,466 on the BSE.
Revenue increased by 3% to Rs 38,506 crore in Q1, compared to Rs 37,440 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Bharti Airtel delivered impressive earnings for the quarter ending June 2024, with a notable 158% increase in profit to Rs 4,160 crore, up from Rs 1,612 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue for Q1 rose by 3% to Rs 38,506 crore, compared to Rs 37,440 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The consolidated net profit before exceptional items for Q1 stood at Rs 2,925 crore.
EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 19,944 crore, marking a 1% increase year-over-year. However, EBITDA margins slightly declined by 90 basis points to 51.8%. EBIT totaled Rs 9,355 crore, reflecting a 7.2% decrease year-over-year.
