Mukesh Ambani Books Seven-Star Stoke Park Hotel Through September for Son Anant’s Post-Wedding Celebrations.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities are set to continue in London, as Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man, has booked the seven-star Stoke Park hotel until September for the celebrations, according to The Sun.
The post-wedding events are anticipated to include high-profile guests such as Prince Harry, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and possibly Tony and Cherie Blair.
Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, married Radhika Merchant in a grand Mumbai ceremony on July 12, which reportedly cost $500 million. The lavish affair included numerous pre-wedding events.
Stoke Park, a historic 300-acre estate in Buckinghamshire, was leased by Reliance Industries in 2021 for £57 million and closed for renovations shortly thereafter. The estate features a mansion, golf courses, and tennis courts. Due to lease terms, it must operate as a commercial property rather than a private residence, leading to tensions with the local council and community over its closure to the public.
To address this issue, Mukesh Ambani has reportedly booked the entire hotel for two months, with around 850 golf club members advised to stay away during this period. A source told The Sun, “The Ambanis don’t do things by halves and so thought nothing of booking the entire venue for two months. The cost is chicken feed to them. The bride and groom and family will attend different parties planned between now and September.”
Security is reportedly on high alert, with expectations for notable attendees including Boris Johnson, Tony and Cherie Blair, and potentially Prince Harry.
