On the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to teachers for their crucial role in shaping the minds of students. He also paid tribute to former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is celebrated on this day.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also extended his greetings, honoring the teachers who guide the nation’s youth. He offered respectful tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan, calling him an eminent educationist and Bharat Ratna. “Hearty greetings to all the teachers who guide the youth of the country and remove their ignorance,” Pradhan said.
He further emphasized the pivotal role of teachers: “Teachers give us meaningful direction in our lives with their vast knowledge, introducing us not just to bookish learning but to the true essence of life. Let us, on this Teachers’ Day, honor our educators and pledge to follow the path they have shown us.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his appreciation, stating that teachers “not only shape the lives of their students but also make invaluable contributions to building a great nation.”
