A day after being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by his family, offered prayers at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala today.
Tirumala, Thursday: Just a day after being sworn in as Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister for the fourth time, Nara Chandrababu Naidu made his first pilgrimage to the revered Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala. Following his oath-taking ceremony in Vijayawada, Naidu, accompanied by his family, offered prayers at the temple and vowed to “cleanse” the Tirupati-Tirumala administration.
Addressing the media, Chief Minister Naidu highlighted alleged irregularities within the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy regime. He expressed his commitment to eradicating corruption and safeguarding ‘Hindu Dharma’ in Tirumala.
“I will start the purification of governance from Tirumala. Defiling Tirumala is not acceptable. Only the chanting of Govinda’s name will remain in Tirumala,” Naidu asserted.
Naidu also pledged to work tirelessly towards creating a poverty-free society and elevating Andhra Pradesh to the top state in India. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and corruption, ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.
“By 2047, the Telugu people will be number one in the world. I will make Andhra Pradesh the number one state in the country. Crime will not be tolerated… Some people are making false accusations against us after committing crimes. Political conspiracies will not be tolerated. We will protect the good and punish the bad,” stated the TDP chief.
Naidu arrived in Tirupati with his family, including his wife, son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law, and other relatives, on a special flight last evening. The family traveled by road to Tirumala, where they spent the night before offering prayers early Thursday morning at the sacred hill temple.
Later today, Naidu is scheduled to return to Amaravati to assume his duties at the Secretariat. Among the first files he will address are those related to election promises, teacher recruitment, and enhancements to social pensions for beneficiaries, according to sources.
