Recently released films “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” featuring Ajay Devgan and Tabu, and Janhvi Kapoor’s “Ulajh” are struggling at the box office. Both movies are struggling to attract audiences to the theaters. Let’s take a look at their performance on Sunday.

The box office is facing a tough time with new film releases underperforming significantly. Industry experts suggest that the allure of cinemas might be waning. With the exception of Hollywood hits like “Deadpool and Wolverine” and the Pan-India film “Kalki 2898 AD,” recent releases have struggled to draw in audiences. Notably, Ajay Devgan and Tabu’s “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” and Janhvi Kapoor’s “Ulajh” are performing poorly. Here’s a closer look at their weekend performance.

Ulajh

Following her collaboration with Rajkummar Rao in “Mr and Mrs Mahi,” Janhvi Kapoor stars in “Ulajh” alongside Gulshan Devaiah. Unfortunately, the film is failing to make an impact at the box office, struggling to attract viewers. On its third day, “Ulajh” garnered a mere ₹2 crore, bringing its total earnings to ₹4.90 crore.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha

Released simultaneously with “Ulajh,” “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha,” featuring Ajay Devgan and Tabu, is directed by Neeraj Pandey. Like “Ulajh,” this film is also having a hard time at the box office, collecting only ₹2.75 crore on its third day. This brings its total three-day earnings to ₹6.75 crore.

Deadpool and Wolverine

In contrast, the Hollywood film “Deadpool and Wolverine” is performing exceptionally well in India. Indian audiences have shown a strong preference for this superhero film, which earned ₹89.9 crore in its first week. The latest figures indicate that the film brought in an additional ₹8 crore on Sunday, the 10th day of its release, pushing its total earnings to ₹109.65 crore.

Despite a few standout hits, the overall trend for new releases remains bleak, indicating a challenging time for the cinema industry.
