Police Identify Victim as Kriti Kumari, a Bihar Native Working at a Private Firm.
Police officials are investigating the murder of Kriti Kumari, a 24-year-old woman from Bihar who was working at a private firm and staying in a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru. The alleged killer has been identified as Abhishek, her roommate’s ex-boyfriend, who hails from Bhopal and is currently unemployed.
Kumari was stabbed to death shortly after 11 PM on Tuesday at her PG accommodation in Koramangala. She worked as a business development associate at a project-based learning platform. The police stated that Abhishek had been in a relationship with Kumari’s roommate and had falsely claimed to be employed, which led to the breakup.
Abhishek would frequently visit the PG to argue with his ex-girlfriend, and Kumari would often intervene. Kumari, who had been staying at the PG since March, had advised her roommate to move there to escape Abhishek. Police identified Abhishek using CCTV footage, but he is yet to be arrested and is suspected to have fled the state.
